When you're out on the water, whether for relaxing activities like swimming, water sports, or simply getting on and off your boat, having the right equipment can make all the difference. Boat ladders are a vital component that ensures safe and convenient access to and from the water. In this guide, we'll explore the various types of boat ladders, the materials and durability considerations, and safety features that every boating enthusiast should know.
There are various types of ladders, but today we will talk about transom ladders, specifically the three models we design and develop in the last years; Over Platform Telescoping Ladder, Under Platform Telescoping Ladder, and Folding Boarding Ladder.
Over Platform Ladder
An Over Platform Ladder might be designed to fold down or extend over the platform when needed, providing a means for people to climb up onto the boat from the water. This design could also contribute to saving space on the deck when the ladder is not in use. In our catalog, we carry a selection of three distinct sizes for these specialized ladders:
Under Platform Ladders
The Under Platform Ladders are considered convenient for 3 main reasons: Accessibility, Space Saving and Safety. The location of the under platform ladder makes it convenient for users. It's easily accessible, and its design is typically optimized for ease of use. In our catalog, we carry a single, meticulously designed size for this type of ladder - Length: 33 1/4 inches.
Folding Ladder
Lastly, we have the 'Folding Ladder' which is designed for under swin platform installation. It can be installed under the deck on bow or side pontoon boats. It comes with a robust swivel mounting bracket for easy retrieval. Our catalog includes the length of 35-9/16 inches for this ladder.
