Slam latches are designed so that when a door or drawer is slammed shut, a spring inside automatically retracts the latch and then engages the keeper. Because no handle is required, slam latches are fast and easy to use, making them a great choice for enclosures that need quick access. This Five Oceans Flush Pull Slam Latch is known for its solid feel, top-quality detailed finish, and nautical design. These flush-mounted push-to-close latches install quickly into a 2 inches (51mm) hole without trim rings or bezels. The stylish ergonomic lifting ring releases the pawl (or catch) and provides a 2-3 finger hold for lifting moderate weight hatches. It is made of UV-Stabilized and corrosion-resistant ABS Plastic.

Good quality and the perfect replacement

While I have a need on a bait tank that is opened and closed several hundred to a thousand times a year, this original lasted 6 years plus. It is actually still functional, but it was just nice to have a brand new one all shiny and white :-) Thank you!

Bright white; seemed well made.

Excellent fit for my broken slam latches. Well made but recognize that they are a bright white plastic. Depending on the white or off-white color of your boat these slam latches may sort of stand out. Would buy again.
